Arreis Construction Group is spearheading the entire civil portion such as, the site work; Trenching & Mass excavation; utility installation; demolition and concrete pavement portions of work at various Metro operations facilities. Metro’s plan to gradually get rid of diesel-powered is one of Houston’s most highly anticipated new projects. This multi-phased project, constructed by Arreis in conjunction with Mass Electric and Kiewit, will help our region transition to lower-polluting and more energy-efficient transit vehicles quicker. Arreis steady progress with site work and excavation and pouring hundreds of yds of concrete has kept the aggressively scheduled project on course. The team excavated down 20 feet, installed 60” RCP pipe, connected storm drainage to existing manholes and prepared the excavation to receive the slab on grade for the bus canopies. managed the, Asphalt, installation of buffalo grass, permanent fencing and thermoplastic striping. In all, the team removed a massive amount of excavated soil from the 3 sites in only three months working simultaneously. Throughout, construction the crew is monitoring air quality and coordinating the disposal of contaminated soils. Arreis. expects to be on site through the completion of construction in 2023.
